Spouse or roommate doesn’t play pickleball?

• No problem! There is so much to do and so much included at Sandals Regency La Toc that they do not have to play to come join in the fun!!!! They will still have an incredible experience at this amazing resort!

Are singles allowed?

• Absolutely! Sandals room pricing is based on the room itself, not the number of guests, so many solo travelers choose to bring a friend or family member—even if they don’t play pickleball.We can also request a rollaway bed if needed. Since there is no additional charge for the pickleball programming, non-playing guests can fully enjoy all the incredible amenities and experiences the resort has to offer.

Daily Court Time

• Mornings include 2 hours of private court time for this group. Where the first half includes specific drills followed by the second half of regular gameplay reinforcing the skills taught in the first hour.
• Evenings will include 2 hours of open play, which includes Preston playing and coaching throughout.
• If that’s not enough, no worries—courts will be available for you to keep playing all day and even under the lights at night!

About Your Coach

Preston Engel is a seasoned professional pickleball player with more than six years of coaching experience in both tennis and pickleball. He has worked with hundreds of players across the United States, specializing in player development at all levels, creating fun and engaging programming, and fostering player growth both on and off the court. Preston holds his RSPA certification and is IPTPA Level II certified in pickleball.

Preston has spent the past four years competing professionally in pickleball and holds a 5.5 DUPR rating in both singles and doubles. In his role as a Head Racquets Professional, he has organized and participated in exhibition events alongside some of the world’s top players, including the No. 1 ranked professional. Before transitioning to pickleball, Preston competed in junior college tennis for two years, leading his team to the NJCAA National Tournament in both seasons.

Preston is also a pickleball content creator alongside his partner, Claire Malone, where they share instructional tips, drills, and strategy through @prestons.playbook, which has grown to more than 60,000 followers across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.

What is the age range of the group?

These pickleball getaways are open to adults of all ages and skill levels. Most guests are typically between 55–75 years young, but everyone is welcome.

What is the skill level of the group?

All skill levels are welcome. The group will be divided into beginner, intermediate, and advanced so that everyone is playing with similarly skilled players.

Does the price include airfare?

Airfare is not included in our prices. Everything else is—including accommodations, food, drinks, activities, transportation, and pickleball programming. We are happy to assist you with flights! 🙂 

How do I get from the airport to the resort?

Airport transportation is included in your package. Once you arrive, simply visit the Sandals kiosk at the airport, and they will coordinate your transportation to the resort.
