Family All-Inclusive Caribbean Vacation at Beaches Ocho Rios

I strongly value disconnecting from “life” and spending quality time with my family. We love laughing, having fun, experiencing new things, and creating memories together. What a better way to do this than on vacation? My husband and I have enjoyed our Sandals Resorts getaways, so choosing a Beaches Resort (a family-friendly sister brand to Sandals) for our spring family vacation, with our 8-year-old-daughter Zoe was an easy decision.

Reflecting back on the trip now a few weeks later, there are so many memories that I know we will still cherish for years to come. 

Sometimes it is the little things that create the memory – like hearing pure excitement when Zoe pulled up the plane window shade to see the most beautiful water and yelling at me to “LOOK MOM!!” 

On the way to breakfast every morning, we stopped to check out the daily entertainment schedule. The entertainment crew was so engaging and friendly, and the shows were great. A few highlights were the magic show (she was even called up on stage to assist!), a glow-in-the-dark pool party, and a steel drum band! Even though we were there for 5 days, we ran out of time to do everything we wanted! (I guess we will have to go back!)

Not to mention the beach time – banana boat ride, jumping in the waves, building sand castles, and relaxing! Since getting back, Zoe has been sure to tell EVERYONE that I asked them to drive the boat slowly since I was too scared and even though we went “sooo slow” I yelled a lot! 

And pool time – playing with the beach ball, floating, swimming, doing handstands underwater, trying SNUBA, whizzing down the slides at the WATER PARK!! 

Whether it’s an annual getaway, a once-in-a-lifetime experience, a multi-generational adventure, or a special celebration, it is truly worth doing. Taking a break will help you escape the busyness of work, sports practices, chores, meal planning and prep, stress, etc., and allow you to truly reconnect with each other. You never know what life will bring, but I know one thing is for certain – spending time with loved ones and creating these memories will be all that matters someday.
